FFS is a group of parents who want to make Stevenson the best it can possibly be by enriching our children’s education.
With the support of our parents and community members like you, Families for Stevenson Booster Association (FFS) has been able to fund Visual and Performing Arts Education for every child at Stevenson Elementary, renovate our school library, and expand our garden.
State budget cuts and the lack of Arts Education funding in public schools today puts more pressure than ever on parent groups like FFS to make up the shortfall. We appreciate you taking the time to consider supporting our school’s fundraising efforts. The support of local business and corporations is essential to our school’s continued success.
We hope you are able to take this opportunity to support our school with a year end, tax deductable donation!
Why we believe The Arts are important to our children’s education:
- Children who are given the opportunity to learn about The Arts have higher academic performance and test scores than kids with little or no involvement.
- The Arts teaches children to be more tolerant and open.
- The Arts allows children to express themselves creatively and bolster their self-confidence.
- Children who study The Arts are more likely to be involved and engaged in school and less likely to drop out.
