HALLOWEEN IS A HAPPY TIME
By Frankie Coscia
Halloween is a happy time where kids get treats and tricks.
There are ghouls and ghosts jack-o-lanterns and maybe even jackilops.
We kids get spook and scares.
Mythical creatures and magical creatures come out and play on the 31st.
Maybe some butterfingers and even some fingers.
There are witches and werewolfs all around town so be careful on Halloween night.
MY BIRD
By Naomi Griffin
This is my bird who got breast cancer. It takes a year to be free of cancer and that is what she did after she went back home. She came to say “hi” to her family and then they went on a field trip together to be free. Then she had to say “goodbye” because she had to go back for another twenty four hours. She came back the very next day and she was all better, healed forever.
* this story was accompanied by a beautiful picture of Naomi’s bird.
